An automotive manufacturer producing a unique powder-metal transmission component needed a reliable way to finish-turn both faces in a fully automated, lights-out cell. The part’s irregular outer profile (multiple ears/lobes) made conventional jaw gripping impossible without risking interference or mislocation.
An OEM-supplied cylindrical grinder for an ITAR aerospace program needed a workholding solution to finish-grind classified turbine components.
